Obituary for Mamie Dolene Clarkson
Mamie Dolene (Smith) Clarkson, age 72, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Raymond “Butch” Clarkson, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Clarkson was born March 17, 1950, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Thibodeau) Smith and had been a lifelong area resident.
Mamie loved her dogs and enjoyed playing computer games and completing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed her ice coffees and watching every rerun of "The Golden Girls" and "Dirty Dancing" (lol) but, most of all, she enjoyed being a homebody. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Survivors include her children, Anna Clarkson, Lisa Curral, Tracy Beltz and Catherine Clarkson; her grandchildren, Mike DaSilva, Kayla DaSilva, Jazmine Roque, Alivia Beltz and Samantha Beltz; her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Freddy Jr, Audrie, Sophia, Avery, Aviana, Rakeem Jr, Jahleel and Levi and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, William Pucko and brothers, Robert Smith and Fredrick Smith.
Friends are invited to attend her funeral service celebrated by Deacon John Piatak on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 11: 00 a.m. by meeting directly at Saint Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave, Stratford, CT.
