Obituary for Margueritte Canaan
Margueritte Canaan, age 83 of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Anis Canaan entered eternal life Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in Stratford surrounded by her devoted family. Margueritte was born August 10, 1930 in Ain Drafile, Lebanon. daughter of the late Amin Sleiman and Hilane’ Maatar. She is survived by her children, Helen, Emil, Loulou, Edma and Shirley; her grandchildren Rabih Hajjar, Dolly Antoun and her husband Elie Antoun and great granddaughter Zoe Antoun as well as extended family. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 297 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and family may gather before Mass from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford.
