Obituary for Marie Emond
EMOND - Marie G. Emond, age 83, of Stratford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in Saint Vincent Hospital, Bridgeport, with her loving family and friends at her side. Marie was born in Norwalk on October 7, 1931, daughter of the late Raoul and Beatrice (Laneau) Emond and had been a life time Stratford resident. She retired from the Southern New England Telephone Company after 37 years of service. Survivors include her three brothers, Roger Emond, Donald Emond and his wife Connie and Albert Emond and thirteen nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother, Doris Twohey, Lucille Beust and Leo Emond. The family would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation to the nurses, staff and doctors, especially Dr. Nicholas Blondin and the Hospice staff assigned to North 7. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. by meeting directly in Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 497 Second Hill lane, Stratford. Interment in Gate of heaven cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Marie may be made to either St Jude's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis TN., 38101 or the Thomas Merton House Food Pantry, 96 Catherine St., Bridgeport, CT 06604.
