Obituary for Marie (Pascale) Swift
Marie Grace (Pascale) Swift, age 99, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late William T. Swift Sr., passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Swift was born August 12, 1917 in New Haven, daughter of the late Archie and Elizabeth (DiNardo) Pascale and had been a life time area resident.
Marie had an unwavering faith in God and was a long time member of Our Lady of Peace Church in Lordship. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and a special “Auntie” to Lauren Pappas. Her intriguing stories will truly be missed at family gatherings.
Survivors include her two sons, Gary Swift and his wife Linda of Stratford and William T. Swift, Jr., and his wife Pamela of California; two cherished grandchildren, Caitlin and Kevin Swift and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, June 3, 2017 10:00 a.m. by meeting directly in Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Rd., Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Nicholas Pavia. Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.
