Obituary for Marlene B. (Anson) Simon
Marlene B. (Anson) Simon, age 77, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Robert A. Simon, passed away at home on Monday, September 28, 2015, surrounded by her family. Marlene was born March 24, 1938 in Fall River, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Marie and Walter Anson.
Marlene was a graduate of Bassick High School and married Robert 1961. Before his passing, they spent 47 years together living in Stratford, CT. Marlene was a stay-at-home Mom and enjoyed her days taking care of her family. Her greatest love continued to be her children and grandchildren.
Marlene is survived by her children: son Robert Simon and his wife Suzanne, daughter Valerie Kuhn and her husband Ronald and daughter Jennifer DeCaprio and her husband Paul. You will be sadly missed by your grandchildren Ryan and Jake Bordelon, Catherine and Patrick Simon, Heather and Jason Breza, Kristine and Bryan Amandolare, Jessica Kuhn; Great-grandson, Anthony and Great-granddaughter Alexa. In addition, she is survived by brother and sister-in-law Lee and Roxanne Anson.
A special thanks to the wonderful aides that quickly became a part of our family. Annette, Joy and Sharon, we will forever be grateful for your loving care and warm hearts. Also, Linda Kale of the Bridgeport Hospital Geriatric Center, your guidance and support will always be remembered.
Friends may call on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford. Her Funeral service celebrated by Fr. Thomas Lynch will follow in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial in Mountain Grove Cemetery in Easton.
