Obituary for Mary Louise (Perini) Scelza
Mary (Perini) Scelza, age 90, of Milford and previously of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Ralph J. Scelza, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. Mrs. Scelza was born January 2, 1927 in Bakersfield, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Louis and Rosalia Perini.
Mary was a loving mother, enjoyed crochet and spending time with her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her two children, Mark Scelza of Milford and Sandra Eldracher and her husband Andreas of Torrington; daughter-in-law Nancy Scelza; four grandchildren, Anthony Scelza, David Scelza, Matthew Scelza and his wife Maureen and Paul Scelza and his fiancé, Michaela Rafferty; two great-grandchildren, April and Autumn and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two siblings, Clotilde Brochetti and Fiorello Perini.
Friends are invited to attend her a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Mary’s Church, 70 Gulf St, Milford, CT. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may visit with her family Wednesday morning before Mass from 9:00 am till 10:00 am in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.
