Obituary for Maureen Virginia (Molloy) Marino
MARINO - Maureen Virginia (Molloy) Marino age 73, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Louis Marino Sr. entered eternal life Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Shelton. Mrs. Marino was born September 12, 1940 in the Bronx, New York, daughter of the late George and Virginia (Farrell) Molloy and had been an area resident for over 25 years. She was a retired Accounting Supervisor for Westchester Square Hospital, an avid reader, historical and political enthusiast, and a die-hard Yankee fan. She was incredibly devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her two sons, Louis Marino Jr. of Shelton and Richard C. Marino Sr. and his wife Trudy of Stratford; Jennifer Maureen Shkandin of New York, who she served as a surrogate mother to, her daughter in-law Maria Marino of Fairfield; four grandchildren, Richard Jr., Joseph, Matthew and Ryan Marino; two sisters, Marilyn Marsar of New Jersey and Maggie Worthman of New York; her devoted niece Katrina Baisi; and several other loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Norton. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Trumbull.
