Serving Our Community Since 1951Mr. Chemero was born May 19, 1945 in Texas, son of the late Patrick and Peggy Ann (Mecklenberg) Chemero and had been a longtime Connecticut resident
Mike was a retired carpenter and was an avid NY Giant and Yankee fan. Even with all of life's trials, Mike always had a smile.
He is survived by his loving longtime companion, Celena Smith and her daughter, Katrina Lepley; his children, Jeanette, Tracy, Michael Jr., Jessica and Jason; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, William Chemero and his wife April of Sherman; one sister, Peggy Ann Kiley and her husband Tom of Broken Arrow OK., and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by a brother, Patrick Chemero Jr. and a sister, Jeannette Chemero.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford and at 11:30 a.m. in Saint Gregory's Church, 5 Tamanny Traill, Danbury, CT for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. Friends may visit with his family Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
