Obituary for Michael A. Paternoster
Michael A. Paternoster, 69, of Milford passed away May, 6, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital, peacefully with his family by his side, after a battle with Covid 19. He was born in Bridgeport, son of the late Michael F. Paternoster and Mary Santella Paternoster.
Michael was a graduate of Milford High School and Housatonic Community College. He was a retired HVAC tech and dealer of antiques and collectibles, as well as a lifelong drummer and musician. He loved jazz music and trivia, and was never without a pair of drumsticks in his hands. He was also a member of the American Legion Sons Post 196 in Milford. Michael was a wonderful father, brother, and friend and he will be remembered for his kindness, compassionate spirit and unconditional love.
Michael is survived by his daughter Melissa A. Paternoster of Bridgeport, son Matthew M. Paternoster of Milford, his brother Thomas M. Paternoster of Milford, sister Elaine M. Finch, her husband Ronald, and nieces Kellie and Corinne Finch of Milford, his beloved cat Ruby, cousins, and many good friends.
A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, May 19th at 11 am in St. Mary’s Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Smooth Jazz for Scholars, Inc., P.O. Box 3723, Milford, CT., 06460.
