Obituary for Michael Doyle
Michael P. Doyle, age 87, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Joan (Carlson) Doyle, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at Carriage Green Assisted Living Facility. Mr. Doyle was born September 14, 1934, in Bridgeport, son of the late Patrick and Mary (Lawless) Doyle and had been a lifelong area resident.
Michael was a medic in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on December 31, 1962. From there he went to work as a tool and die maker at various companies and finally retired from Remington Products Company. After retirement, Michael enjoyed traveling with his wife and next door neighbors, playing bridge, spending time with his grandchildren, and a shot of Sambuca every now and then.
Survivors include his son, Mark Doyle and his wife Tina; two grandchildren, Samantha and Steven Doyle, and two very special nieces Kandis Sykes and Tammy Murray.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah, and brother John “Jack” Doyle.
All funeral services will be private.
