Obituary for Michael Robert Augusztin Sr.
Michael Robert Augusztin Sr., age 83 of Shelton passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 in Bridgeport Hospital.
Mr. Augusztin was born January 29, 1938 in Budapest Hungary, son of the late Istvan Paul and Maria (Dinnyes) Augusztin and had been a long time area resident.
Mike was a tool and die maker for various companies and he also worked at Housatonic Community College where he was a maintenance worker until he retired . He was an active member of the Moose Club, Polish Citizens Club, The White Eagle Social Club and J & R’s / Village Pub where he met his friends frequently . He enjoyed watching FOX NEWS & soccer games . He also like buying “ rare” coins on HSN & Publishers Clearing House . Mike loved working around his yard & was always tinkering with things.
Survivors include his son, Michael Augusztin Jr.and his wife Laura & four grandchildren, Christina, Alexandra , Michaela , ( Michabella) and Isabella . He is also survived by 2 sisters Kathy & Maria.
He was predeceased by sisters Anne, Violet , Eva , Margaret and brothers Gus , Joe, Bela, Matthew (Dezso).
A memorial service will be announced.
