Obituary for Patricia W. Garmella
Patricia W. Garmella, age 94, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Anthony Garmella passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 27, 2021 with her daughter and grandchildren at her side.
Mrs. Garmella was born August 22, 1926 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late George Henry and Anna Bukovcik Weldon, and had been a lifelong Bridgeport resident.
Pat was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft for many years and taught in the Bridgeport public school system until her retirement.
She was also an active member of the Gaelic-American Club.
She was predeceased by a son, Anthony R. Garmella and a brother, Robert Weldon.
She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, niece, two nephews and many cousins.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral service on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM by meeting directly in St Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave, Stratford.
A small continued celebration of her life will be announced at the service. Flowers accepted, but donations preferred.
Donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to American Brain Foundation (support.americanbrainfoundation.org/site/Donation). Due to covid health concerns, face masks and social distancing are required.
