Obituary for Patsy Sisbarro
Patrick “Patsy” Sisbarro, age 97, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Sophie (Romano) Sisbarro, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in the West Haven VA Hospital.
Mr. Sisbarro was born February 7, 1922 in Bridgeport, son of the late John and Mary (Riccio) Sisbarro and had been a lifelong area resident.
Patsy was retired from Dresser industries, and was a proud United States Army Veteran of World War II and was present on D-Day and landed on Utah Beach, Normandy.
Up until the age of 94, Patsy was an active senior, walking, swimming and exercising daily. He always had a big smile for anyone he came in contact with, stating “I’m 97 years old!”
His memory will be cherished by his son and daughter-in-law Ron and Harriet Sisbarro of Naugatuck, along with his grandson Jesse; his granddaughter and her husband, Nadine and Tony Anderson of Ansonia, along with his great-grandchildren, Troy and Zachary; his granddaughter, Kim Chiodo, along with his great-grandchildren, Dakotah, Landyn, Deaken & Lyla, and his grandson, Graham Cardiff and his fiancé Janick Cruz, along with his great-grandchildren Jayda and Sophie, in addition to his grandchildren, Jasmin Dolinski, Jeremiah Cardiff & Michael Cardiff.
He was predeceased by his daughters Patricia Cardiff, Donna Chiodo & Karen Dolinski, and grandson, Jordan Dolinski.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. by meeting directly in Saint James Church, 2070 Main St., Stratford.
Interment with military honors will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford.
There will be no calling hours.
