Obituary for Phyllis (LaMastra) Marino
Phyllis (LaMastra) Marino, age 93, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Patrick John Marino, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday, August 14, 2017 in the Lord Chamberlain Nursing Facility, Stratford. Mrs. Marino was born March 26, 1924 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Michael and Santa (Natale) LaMastra and had been a life time area resident. Â
Phyllis was a retired hairdresser, having owned and operated her own salon. She enjoyed her winter home in Florida and her trip to Italy with her husband in 2003. She was an avid golfer and tennis player and more recently, a big fan and member of Virtual WII bowling league at the Baldwin Center. Â
Survivors include her two daughters, Sandra Rose Bourque and her husband Robert of Ft Myers, FL, and Patricia Ann Crown and her husband John of Shelton; two grandchildren, Jordan Iannone and her husband Michael and Alexander Bourque; two great grandchildren, John and Anthony Iannone; two sisters-in-law, Anna Lombard and Frances Alena; one brother-in-law, Frank Marino and several nieces and nephews. Â
She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Rose (LaMastra) and Eli Cohen.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service celebrated by Deacon Timothy Bolton on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the William R McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit with the family Saturday before service time from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the funeral homeÂ
