Obituary for Richard David Halapin Jr.
Richard D. Halapin Jr., age 47 of Middletown, previously of Shelton, passed away suddenly Saturday, February 3, 2018. Richard was born June 24, 1970 in Bridgeport, son of Richard Halapin Sr. and the late Susan (Dietz) Halapin.
Richard was a machinist by trade and enjoyed spending time with his family, working out, going to the beach, and helping people in any way he could.
In addition to his father, survivors include his children, Destiny Halapin and Dakota Saltus; two sisters, Heidi Salvati and Melissa Saad and his dear aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service officiated by Reverend Antwan J'avon Sutton and Reverend Angela Perry on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit with his family Friday before service time from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made through the funeral home to help defray expenses.
