Obituary for Richard E. Klein, Sr.
Richard E. Klein, Sr., age 81, of Milford, beloved life partner of Dorothy Miko, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in New Haven. Mr. Klein was born June 14, 1939 in Glen Head, New York, son of the late Eugene and Emily Klein.
Richard was a retired Quality Control Customer Service Representative for 35 years at Sikorsky Aircraft; prior to that, he was a helicopter pilot and Naval Officer and was stationed on the Intrepid. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed boating and classic cars.
Survivors include his three children, Kimberly Klein-Piscitelli, Terri Klein and Richard E. Klein, Jr.; six grandchildren, Andrew and Isaac Ivins, Emily, Nicola and Matthew Piscitell and Elijah Klein; two sisters, Margaret Mochel and Annie Drummond and nieces and nephews, Ian Drummond and John, Ned and Gene Mochel. In addition to his life partner, Dorothy, he had a loving extended family, Suzanne Miko, and Michele and Daniel Dwyer and he was also devoted to their children, Christina and Sarah Dwyer and Brayden Blohm, all whom he adored. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
