Obituary for Richard Pierson
PIERSON - Richard Raymond Pierson, aged 90, of Stratford, CT, entered into everlasting life on April 6, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia Mellott Pierson and his four children, Frederick Pierson, of Niceville, FL, Catherine DeCesare, of Warwick, NY, Attorney Virginia Mihalko, of Shelton, CT and Margaret Rasmussen, of Exton, PA, together with his eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Richard was a graduate of Upsala College and was a lifelong member of the Eta Delta Fraternity. He served on active duty in the U.S. Army during WWII and worked as a vice president for AMF Corporation and comptroller for American Airlines before his retirement. He was a founding member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Darien, CT; was on the Board of Directors for the Oronoque Condominium Association and was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Huntington, CT. A funeral service was held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Huntington, Connecticut on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11 AM. He will be interred with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia, Friday, September 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m
