Obituary for Richard Syx
On Friday, October 22, 2021, Richard Charles Syx, loving son and brother, passed away at the age of 48. Richard was born on June 16, 1973 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Richard and Patricia (Lynch) Syx.
He graduated from Frank Scott Bunnell High School in 1991, attended Western Connecticut State University, and graduated from Porter and Chester Institute of Technology. Richard was an electronic systems technologist.
Richie was known for his humor and ability to make people laugh. His laughter was infectious. Richie loved animals, especially dogs, music and was an avid football fan, his favorite team being the Raiders.
Richie is survived by his parents, Richard and Patricia Syx; brother Christopher and his wife Rebecca and their three children Amelia, Logan, and Marlaina; sister Melanie and her husband Jason and their son Elias, and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to the SPCA in Richie’s memory.
In the words of Richie’s favorite band, Shinedown, “No one gets out alive, every day is do or die. The one thing you leave behind is how did you love, how did you love?”
