Obituary for Richard William Moyher
MOYHER - Richard William Moyher, age 78 of Stratford, beloved husband of Diessa (Hamatshek) Moyher passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Moyher was born May 3, 1936 in Bridgeport son of the late Stephen and Mildred (Zimla) Moyher and had been a life time Stratford resident. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a retired Operating Engineer for J.F. Barrett & Sons Construction Company. Richard was a master craftsman and enjoyed his many remodeling projects both his own, his families or friends. He was a real outdoorsman, loved fishing boating and golf. He also enjoyed bowling and his many family vacations and outings. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife include his two sons, Todd Moyher and his wife Denise of Milford and Richard Tallberg and his wife Laura of Stratford; his brother, Andrew Moyher and his wife Betty of Seymour; one sister, Marion Reuther of Stratford; four grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Tory and Libby and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Stephen, William, Raymond, Daniel and Edmund Moyher. Friends are invited to attend his funeral service celebrated by Father Bruce Roby on Tuesday, August 19, at 10:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford. Interment will be private. Friends may visit with family Monday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the charity of ones choice.
