Obituary for Rita Marie McNamara
Rita Marie McNamara, age 87, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Paul E. McNamara, Sr., passed away peacefully Friday, September 5, 2014 in Connecticut Hospice. Rita was born March 20, 1927 in Stratford, daughter of the late Edward J. and Julia (Lutian) Degnan. She was a graduate of Stratford High School and was a Secretary with Antinozzi Architects until her retirement. She is survived by two devoted sons Paul E. McNamara, Jr. and Brian T. McNamara both of Stratford; one brother Edward J. Degnan of Milford and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 9:00 am from the William McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT and at 10:00 am in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Assumption Green Farms Cemetery, Westport. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
