Obituary for Robert Alan Booker
Robert Alan Booker, age 73, of Stratford, CT, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 after a long illness. Bob was preceded in death by his parents George and Jean (Thopsey) Booker.
Bob is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Healy) Booker; his daughter, Beth and son-in-law Robert O’Brien; seven grandchildren, Abigail, Hannah, triplets: Hunter, Lucas and Noah, Robert Jr., and Connor; his brother, Gary Booker (Denise); nephews, Matthew and David (Christine) Booker, as well as several cousins and friends.
Bob grew up in Stamford, graduated from J.M. Wright Technical School and became a skilled mechanic and shop manager for Riverbank VW, later owing Springdale Chevron. Bob then started a new career as a home builder/developer. His hobbies included model building, but Bob especially enjoyed auto racing and campaigned a successful Formula Atlantic race team in the 1980’s.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service in St. John’s Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave., Darien, CT on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
