Obituary for Robert F. Blouin
Robert Fernand Blouin, age 92, of Stratford, beloved husband of 65 years to Lucille (Masson) Blouin, passed away peacefully in his home Monday, May 10, 2021. Robert was born October 13, 1928 in Rumford, Maine, son of the late Philias and Laura (Boivin) Blouin and had been a longtime area resident.
He was a United States Airforce veteran of the Korean War, a graduate of the Bridgeport Engineering Institute and was a retired Leadman for Sikorsky Aircraft. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an Usher, Sacristan and member of the Garden Club at Our Lady of Peace Church. Bob enjoyed long walks at the beach and watching his hockey games was a great pleasure for him especially when his team the Montreal Canadians were playing. Most of all Bob enjoyed being with his family, always ready to help, especially as the main caregiver for his loving wife. Bob’s smile and friendly personality will remain in our hearts forever.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his daughter, Diane Fekete and her husband, Deacon Thomas; granddaughter Nicole Graham and her husband Brian; two great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Mason; three sisters, Jeannine Blouin, Liliane Beaulieu and Yvonne Beaudin and several nieces and nephews.
