Obituary for Robert Lee Morrison, Sr.
Robert Lee Morrison Sr., age 75, of Monroe and previously of Stratford, beloved husband of Martha (Galla) Morrison, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Mr. Morrison was born September 27, 1944 in Milford CT, son of the late Raymond and Norma Dean Morrison.
He was a retired member of the National Guard and was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft and the Stratford Police Department. He enjoyed target shooting, collecting police and military memorabilia, camping, trips to the casino, visiting the White Mountains in New Hampshire, and listening to his police scanner.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his two children, Robert Lee Morrison Jr. of East Haven and Tara Lee Coen and her husband Kevin of Trumbull; one grandson, Robert Lee Morrison III; three step-children, Patty Syrotiak, Michael Amoroso and Anthony Amoroso; step-grandchildren, Brittany, Holly, Michael, Jackie and Jessa; step-great-grandchildren, Alexis, Xela, Skylar, Lilyana and Anthony and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Karen Linda (Johnson) Morrison.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral service celebrated by the Reverend Henry Hoffman on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.
Friends may visit with his family Wednesday before service time from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Saint Jude Church, 707 Monroe Tpke, Monroe, CT 06468.
