Obituary for Rosa (Agosto) Rivera
Rosa (Agosto) Rivera, age 91, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Julio Rivera Sr., passed away Monday, April 27, 2020 in the Milford Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Rivera was born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, March 30, 1929, daughter of the late Pablo and Mina (Santos) Agosto.
Rosa enjoyed going to the senior center where she loved to play a game of dominos. You would often find her in the kitchen where she would be cooking a big meal for many. She was a selfless person and loved to help everyone around her. Rosa was part of Blessed Sacrament Church in Bridgeport and participated in the Lady's Guild.
Survivors include her son Julio Rivera and his wife Anna; her sister Rafaela Agosto; her grandchildren Erica Ortiz, Waleska Ortiz, Elizabeth Nieves, Carmen Nieves, and Julio Nieves, as well as her eleven great grandchildren, and her two nieces and nephew Gladys Labas, Rosita Garcia, and Ricardo Garcia.
She was predeceased by her husband Julio Rivera and her daughter Maria Rivera; her brothers and sisters Carmelo, Adela, and Maria Agosto.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, interment will be private.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
