Serving Our Community Since 1951Known to her family and friends as Rosie, she was retired from Advanced Graphics, was an avid Yankee Fan, loved to cook and was a Friday Night St. James Bingo Regular.
Rosie was a gentle, kind-hearted lady who opened her home and heart to all she knew. She loved her family and friends unconditionally. She was good natured and had a smile every day throughout her illness.
Survivors include her devoted children, Joanne Kvaka of Stratford, Linda Ward and her husband James of Milford, Rosemary Kvaka of Washington, DC and Michael Kvaka of Stratford; two grandchildren, Chris Kvaka and Joseph Ward and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Antoinette Kvaka and Josephine Battagliotti and five brothers, Armondo, John, Patsy, Joseph and Andrew Massaro.
Special thanks to the staff and nurses of the Stratford VNA and her personal care giver, Alfreda.
Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Thomas Lynch. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
