Obituary for Samuel M. Ginoni
Samuel M. Ginoni, age 93, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Shirley (Heroux) Ginoni, for 67 years passed away peacefully Saturday August 27, 2022, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Ginoni was born October 2, 1928, in Bridgeport, son of the late Ignazio and Jenny (Calabrese) Giannone and had been a lifelong Bridgeport resident.
Sam was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a retired Pumper Engineer for the Bridgeport Fire Department for almost 30 years. He was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra. He loved his wife cooking and most importantly spending time with his family.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Samuel Ginoni of Florida and Joanne (Ginoni) Freda of Orange, CT, four grandchildren, Ryan Mazzarella and wife Kara, Michael Bakitas, Tara McGorty and her husband Philip and Angelique and Patrick Dellicarpini; two great-grandchildren, Gianna Mazzarella and Giancarlo Dellicarpini and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank his physician Dr. Edward Tristine for his wonderful care.
