Obituary for Sheila Sharon Hamilton
Sheila Sharon (Salvaggio) Hamilton, beloved wife of the late William Hamilton of Milford, CT, entered eternal life on Sunday, October 18, 2015. Sheila was born May 23, 1938 in Stratford, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jane (Linton) Salvaggio. Sheila attended Stratford High School and was the loving mother of the late Susan Marie Hamilton, Brian Hamilton of Cary, NC, Sharon Hamilton and Melanie (Hamilton) Sicotte of Milford, CT. She was a teacher at Great Beginnings Preschool where she shared her love of life and learning with hundreds of families. Sheila was greatly loved by her sister Bridget and her husband Paul Martanis, of Milford, CT, her sister-in-law Juanita Salvaggio of Milford, CT and many nieces and nephews. Sheila adored her four grandchildren William and Nolan Hamilton of Cary, NC and Danielle Lomi and William Sicotte of Milford, CT. She is predeceased by her brothers Samuel, Frank, Donald, Charles and Richard Salvaggio and her sisters Gladys Trisko, Alice Stephens, and Evelyn Riley. Sheila lived a wonderful life in Milford, surrounded by friends and family. She loved to travel, cook, and spend time on the beach with her children and grandchildren. Friends are invited to visit the family on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT. There will be a mass of Christian burial on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford, CT. Entombment will follow in St. Michael's Garden Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Sheila's name may be made to the Salvation Army, 150 Gulf Street Milford, CT 06460. For additional information or to share a message of condolence, visit www.wrmcdonaldfuneralhome.com.
