Obituary for Teresa Cunningham
Teresa (Kovach) Cunningham of Bridgeport, passed peacefully away Saturday, September 14, 2013 in Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family at her side. Teresa was born in Swoyersville, PA, daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Benny) Kovach. She was raised in Bridgeport and retired from Nordens and the Southbury Training School where she was a caregiver. She was a very caring and loving person and gave of herself to every one from her heart. She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Bridgeport where she was a caller at Tuesday’s weekly bingo and baked for many church functions. Survivors include a grandson James Cunningham Sr.; a great grandson, James Cunningham, Jr.; two sisters Anna Card and Dorothy Cavalier and her husband Louis; one brother Robert Kovach and his wife Carol; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Kovach and Gerrie Kovach and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter Sharon Cunningham, two sisters, Mary Halipan and Veronica Feir and three brothers, Michael, John and Stephen Kovach.
