Obituary for Theresa J. Kelemen
Theresa J. Kelemen, age 87, of Stratford, beloved wife of Emery Kelemen for 65 years, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in the Jewish Home for the Elderly. She was born September 22, 1930, in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Stephen and Helen (Sisko) Ambrose, and had been a lifetime area resident.
Theresa was a graduate of Butler Business School and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She loved to sew and bake and made many wedding cakes.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two beloved daughters, Juliann Janowski and her husband Richard of Trumbull, and Ilona Repko and her husband John of Stratford; four grandchildren, Sarah Kuczynski and her husband Peter, Amy Ardito and her husband Edward, James Repko and his wife Katelyn, and Gregory Repko and his wife Nicole; three great-grandchildren, Anna and Olivia Kuczynski, and Emma Ardito.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Jewish Home for the Elderly for their outstanding care and support.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 9:00 a.m., meeting directly at Saint James Church, 2070 Main St., Stratford. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, CT. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT.
