Obituary for Therese Reilly
Therese Reilly, age 95, of Stratford, entered eternal rest, Sunday, January 9, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Therese was born June 27, 1926, in Bridgeport, Connecticut daughter of the late Edmund and Agnes (Tanzy) Reilly and had been a long-time area resident.
Therese worked for many years at SNET and was a member of the SNET Pioneer Club. She formed many lifelong friends during the time she worked there. After retirement Therese went into business with her family and was part owner of Catalano’s News Stand and the Courtyard Restaurant. She enjoyed working in the store and took pleasure getting to know her regular customers. She enjoyed traveling especially to the casinos with her sister and nieces.
Survivors include her loving nieces and nephews, Judy McGuire, Kathy Kopatch, Susan Brolet, Mary Kelly, Maggie Cuff and Brian Connolly and his wife Dottie and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews especially her great niece, Ava.
She was predeceased by her brothers Edmund and Bill Reilly and his wife Elsie, sisters Helen Kelly and her husband Harold and Agnes Connolly and her husband Bob; a nephew Robert Connolly and a niece Theresa June.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 10:00 am by meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Road, Stratford.
Interment will be private
Friends may visit with family Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. Face masks will be required.
