Obituary for Thomas J. Dalton
DALTON – Thomas J. Dalton age 70, of Stratford, passed away peacefully after a long illness surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in Milford Hospital. Mr. Dalton was born May 8, 1943 in Bridgeport, son of the late William and Julia (Forde) Dalton Sr., and had been a lifetime area resident. He was retired from Metpath and Park City Hospital and was an avid sports fan, Particuarly the NY Yankees and NY Jets, enjoyed music, especially from the 50’s and loved listening to his radio shows. He is survived by his three children, George Dalton Sr., and Bridget of Terryville, CT, Pamela Dalton of Stratford and Kelly Ryder and husband Gene of Stratford; one brother, William Dalton Jr. of Bridgeport; one sister, Sheila Eckenrode and husband Robert of Newtown; four grandchildren, Laura Dalton, George Dalton, Jr., Candice Ryder, and Owen Ryder; a niece, Kaelyn Eckenrode, a nephew, Robert Eckenrode IV and several cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Maureen. The family would like to thank Dr Toumanian and the staff of Milford Hospital ICU for their great care and compassion. Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, December 7, 2013 a at 9:00 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford. CT., followed at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Mark Church, Stratford for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial. Internment will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the: Maureen P.
