Obituary for Timothy Alan Pickett
Timothy Alan Pickett, age 60, of Naugatuck, previously of Stratford, beloved husband for 39 years of Doreen (Miklos) Pickett passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in Saint Mary's Hospital, Waterbury. Tim was born July 17, 1956 in Milford, son of the late Raymond and Lorraine (Allen) Pickett, and had been a longtime Stratford resident before moving to Naugatuck several years ago.
Tim was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He retired after 35 years as a glazier for National Glass, Stratford. In his free time, he was an avid New York Giants fan, loved nature and gardening, and caring for his pets. He enjoyed life and most of all, especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Doreen, include his three daughters; Jennifer Pickett of Putnam, Dawn Pickett of Meriden, and Kelly Pickett of Naugatuck; three grandchildren, Priscilla, Alan and Jennessa; four siblings, Ray Pickett and his wife Jo-Ann of Waterbury, Elaine Parrs and her husband, Ken of Stratford, Janet Cude and her husband John of Oxford, and Nancy Pickett of Stratford and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. officiated by the Reverend Meg Williams in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford. Interment will be private. Friends may visit with his family Sunday before service time from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made through the funeral home to help defray expenses.
