Obituary for Wayne Steven Liscinsky
Wayne Steven Liscinsky, of New Milford, beloved husband of Debra (Ladd) Liscinsky for over 40 years, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Wayne was born March 5, 1953 in Bridgeport, son of the late Steve T. and Arline H. (Thompson) Liscinsky, and had been a lifelong Connecticut resident.
His friends and family knew him as a man who enjoyed life and always made life better for those around him. He was warm and friendly, filled with integrity, and usually seen with a smile and a baseball hat.
He loved spending time with family and friends and enjoying anything outdoors especially if it involved riding ATVs or snowmobiles, skiing, golfing, and spending time in the woods. Wayne could often be found cooking up some of his favorite recipes to share with friends, watching old westerns, bowling, and was quite the ping pong opponent.
For over 30 years, Wayne owned his own water purification business. He was a passionate and dedicated small business owner, as demonstrated by decades long customer loyalty. In his business and beyond, Wayne was always the first to lend a helping hand, and is remembered by friends and family as being a problem solver; someone with the know-how and ingenuity to fix just about anything.
In addition to his wife, he is loved by his daughter, Dawn Carone and husband Benjamin; his son, Bryan Liscinsky and wife Allison; three grandchildren, Gabriel, Ethan, and Elwood; three siblings Sheryl, Darlene, and Fr. Steven, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later time to celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers, donation in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
