Obituary for William R. McDevitt
William R. McDevitt, age 81 of Stratford, CT, passed away on October 1, 2014. Mr. McDevitt was born in Springfield, OH to the late Henry and Helen McDevitt. He was employed by Continental Can Corporation and served in the United States Air Force in Seville, Spain. He was a 1954 graduate and legacy of Ohio Wesleyan University. He is survived by his wife Faith McDevitt, three sons, Douglas McDevitt, Gregory McDevitt and William McDevitt and many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bill was a sportsman and hobbyist at heart, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, as well as a passion for travel with his growing family. At the family’s request, all services are private.
