Obituary for Eric Stroomer
Eric Stroomer, age 43, of East Haven, beloved husband of Suzanne (Anderson) Stroomer, passed away suddenly Friday, April 24, 2020 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Eric was born February 13, 1977 in Milford son of Susan (Decker) Stroomer and the late George Stroomer.
Eric enjoyed life to the fullest. He always had time for family and friends. He was a direct descendant of Governor William Bradford of the Mayflower. Eric loved going to Montauk every summer, loved Halloween, singing Karaoke at Gippers, and going to the Blue Trail range with his dad and stepdad. He was also an award-winning saxophone player in high school.
Survivors, in addition to his wife and mother, include his brother Sean; sister Lara Willenkin; stepfather Eric Stoughton; uncle Richard Stroomer; Aunt Lorraine Decker; cousins Matthew Flynn and Kyle Decker DVM; nephews Atty Will Ognibene, Andrew Ognibene, Roman Katsnelson; niece Chrissy Ognibene and his furbabies, Princess and his cats.
He was predeceased by his uncle John Decker.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, interment will be private.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
