Obituary for Donna Anne (Hutto) Foster
Donna Anne (Hutto) Foster, age 62, of Stratford, beloved wife of Graham Foster, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born September 7, 1959, in Portsmouth, Virginia, daughter of William Hutto and the late Helen (McCarthy) Hutto.
Although her journey ended earlier than we hoped, she lived a life full of accomplishments and adventure. Graduating from Kauai High School, Donna later received her Masters from Penn State University supporting her Nittany Lions football team enthusiastically. She was a R & D chemist who loved her time at Cytec and Unilever. She was happily married for 33 years. She raised her family and always went above and beyond for family reunions, one of her favorite past times. She was an avid quilter and through quilting formed many lifelong friendships. Her enthusiasm for trivia led to often knowing the answers for board games and tv shows. She made many friends online through her passion for knowledge. She loved cooking and was always tweaking her recipes even when they were already perfect. She was so proud of her grandson Logan and enjoyed watching him growing up. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her children, Katherine “Katie” A. Foster and Evan Scott Foster; her adored grandson, Logan Bennett; her siblings, Debora Tandal, William H. Hutto, Julian Sternthal and April Dinwoodie and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Christ Episcopal Church, 2000 Main St., Stratford, CT.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St Jude’s Children Hospital, https://www.stjude.org.
