Obituary for Violet "Vi" (Santucci) Spada
Violet “Vi” (Santucci) Spada, age 101, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Andrew Spada, passed away peacefully Friday, January 7, 2022, in Saint Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury. Vi was born June 8, 1920 in Summit, New Jersey, daughter of the late Ralph and Rose Santucci and had been a longtime Stratford resident.

After moving to Stratford, she met the love of her life, her husband Andy and together they raised two children, Andrea Carroll and Robert Spada. Vi worked alongside her husband and supported the family business, Spada’s Blue Goose Restaurant. She loved to travel, was always ready to see something new and was an active bowler until the age of 90.

Vi took great joy in her grandchildren, Melissa Carroll, Megan LaConte and her husband Larry, Emily Spada and Andrew Spada; great-grandchildren, Francesca and Juliana Barone and Mia, Luca and Michael LaConte and her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by brothers, Ben, Edward, Albert, Alfred and Rudy Santucci and her beloved son-in-law, John Carroll.

Due to covid health concerns, all services are private.
