Obituary for Edward B. Denton
Edward B. Denton, age 77, beloved husband of Dorothy (Koundry) Denton, entered eternal life Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the West Haven Veterans Hospital. Mr. Denton was born February 19, 1935 in Carteret, New Jersey, son of the late James and Anna (Madden) Denton Sr. and had been a long time area resident. Ed worked for many years with E & F Construction and retired as a maintenance tech, was a graduate of Central High School and a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and tinkering with anything mechanical, but most of all loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his two loving daughters, Annmarie Denton of Stratford and Rose Marie Denton and her fiancé Derrick Milan of Derby; three grandchildren, Kelley Lynn Denton, Nicholas Edward Denton and Mackenzie Rae Mortimer; one great-grand son, Shane L. Butler, all of Stratford; one brother Frank Denton and his wife Jacqueline of Newtown one sister, Emily Renik and her husband Paul of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. Complete funeral arrangements will be announced in Tuesday's Connecticut Post by the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, Stratford.
