Obituary for Godfrey A. "Bunny" Burrows, Jr.
Godfrey Andrew Burrows Jr., age 86, of Winter Haven, Florida and previously of Milford, beloved husband of the late Barbara (Bedinger) Burrows passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in Florida.
“Bunny” as he was known to his friends, was born October 19, 1932 in Bridgeport, son of the late Godfrey and Eileen (O’Connor) Burrows, Sr. and had been a life time area resident before moving to Florida.
Bunny was a retired truck mechanic and was an avid sports fan, especially football and basketball and enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing pool.
He is survived by his two children, Michael Burrows and Donna Burrows, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Mark Burrows.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT.
Friends may visit with his family before service time on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will be Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave, Stratford, CT.
