Obituary for Claire Michelle Kenny
Claire Michelle Kenny, age 17, of Milford, beloved daughter of Sharon Stamatin Jansen, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital.
In addition to her devoted mother, she leaves behind to mourn her passing, her sister, Brittany Jansen, her father Michael Kenny, her grandmothers, Connie Rende Stamatin and Rita St. Lawrence Kenny, several aunts, uncles and cousins as well as her school family at St. Vincent’s Special Needs, where she brought joy to all who had the privilege of spending time with her.
Claire was born in New Haven, Connecticut on April 17, 2001 and for 17 years was the sunshine in her family’s life. She loved spending time with her school friends, cooking and baking with her mom, shopping with her sister, getting her nails done and enjoying a cold frosty at the beach on a hot summer day.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, December 26, Â 2018Â from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the William McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St Stratford, Ct. Â
A funeral service celebrating Claire’s beautiful and joyful life will take place at 4:00 pm directly after the visitation, officiated by Chaplain April Alford-Harkey.Â
Interment will be private.Â
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St Vincent’s Special Needs Services, 95 Merritt Blvd, Trumbull, CT 06611, http://www.stvincentsspecialneeds.org/.Â
