Obituary for Elide Antoine
Elide Antoine, age 89, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Bien-Aime Nicolas, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022, in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Elide was born April 10, 1933, in Jacmel, Haiti, daughter of the late Sylvestre Antoine and Marianie Gabriel.
Elide was married for 42 years until her husband’s death in 2003. She was deeply into her faith and loved watching YouTube videos, gardening, telling jokes & cooking and feeding her family and friends.
Survivors include her two daughters, Fernande Jean-Marie and her husband Dominique of Stratford and Valentine Nicolas of Haiti; her son, Valentin Nicolas and his wife Judith of Montreal Canada; grandchildren, Esther Jean-Marie of Hartford, CT, Didier Jean-Marie of Stratford, Emily Jean-Marie of Stratford, Kerlin Nicolas of Haiti, Niko Nicolas of Haiti, Nathan Nicolas of Montreal Canada, Siaraha Nicolas of Montreal Canada, Fendy Nicolas of Haiti, Joe Nicolas of Haiti and Dugens Nicolas of Haiti; niece Evelyn Pierre-Louis and her husband Guy of Stratford as well as many other siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Ave, Stratford.
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford.
Friends may visit with family Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.
