Obituary for Eugene W Curnow
Eugene W. "Gene" Curnow, age 87 of Milford, beloved husband of the late Jean (Twiss) Curnow passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 in Milford Hospital. Mr. Curnow was born April 30, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Eugene and Mary (Osterman) Curnow and had been a Milford resident for over 50 years.
Gene was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and retired from Avco Lycoming as a Unit Manager in 1988 after 35 years.
Survivors include his devoted daughter, Nancy Comboni and her husband Edward of Shelton; grandchildren, Jason Curnow, Jeremy Curnow, Daniel Comboni and his wife Chantal and Kelli Horvath and her husband Craig; great grandchildren, Aydin and Sedrick Comboni and Cora and Everett Horvath; a sister, Doris Troncillito; a sister-in-law, Arlene Twiss; his devoted and beloved companion, Cynthia Moller and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son William Curnow; sister Ann Marra; mother and father-in-law Morton and Stella (Briggs) Twiss; brothers-in-law Frank Troncillito, Frank Twiss, Peter Lewkowicz and Michael Viselli and sisters-in-law Stella Viselli, and Loretta Lewkowicz.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Christ Episcopal Church, 2000 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit with the family Saturday morning in church before Mass time from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.
