Obituary for Frances (Bellman) LaClair
Frances (Bellman) LaClair, age 97, of Shelton and previously of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Clement LaClair, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Gardner Heights Nursing facility, Shelton. Mrs. LaClair was born January 23, 1920 in Los Angeles, California, daughter of the late Henry and Mona (Blighe) Bellman and was a longtime Stratford resident before recently moving to Shelton.
She was the retired owner operator of her own Day Care Center, a member of the Baldwin Center and a volunteer in the Bridgeport Hospital Gift Shop.
She was predeceased by her three children, Henry LaClair, Joan Pannone and Thomas LaClair.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Patricia LaClair and son-in-law, Salvatore Pannone; five grandchildren, Troy, Stephen, Rae-Ann, Sherri and Nichole; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. by meeting directly at Saint James Church, 2070 Main St., Stratford, CT. Interment will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit with her family Thursday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.
