Obituary for Genia Falcioni
FALCIONI - Genia (Biondi) Falcioni of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Wilbur Falcioni and loving mother, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Falcioni was born in Stratford, daughter of the late August and Maria (Dellasanta) Biondi and had been a lifetime Stratford resident.
She was a retired Executive Assistant for General Electric, Fairfield and was past President of both the St. James and St. Marks Ladies Guilds. She was an avid Bridge player, Yankees fan, and a member of the Friends of the Square One Theatre in Stratford. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Marks.
Survivors include her three children, Kevin Falcioni and his wife Donna of Florida, Deborah Binder of Tennessee and Jean Falcioni of Stratford; three grandchildren, Michael Binder and his wife Ashley, Jennifer Falcioni and Stephanie Waite and her husband Sean; three great-grandchildren, Hadley, Carleigh and Aiden and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, James Biondi.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit with her family before Mass time from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.
