Obituary for Grace Jean (Judson) Kekacs

Grace Jean (Jusdon) Kekacs, age 93, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late John Kekacs, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 29, 2022, in the Lutheran Home in Southbury. Mrs. Kekacs was born February 1, 1929, in Waterbury, daughter of the late John and Grace (Ganun) Judson and had been lifelong area resident.


She worked as bookkeeper until she retired at the age of 82. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, especially Christmas stockings for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Survivors include her children, Pamela A. Masella and her husband Peter of Newtown and Raymond G. Kekacs and his wife Susan of Southington; grandchildren, Erica (Masella) Keane and her husband Christopher, Lisa (Masella) Saunders and her husband Jason, Heather (Kekacs) Goldfuss and her husband Thomas, Bonnie Kekacs, Paul Kekacs and his wife Jennifer, Scott Kekacs and his wife Alysia; nine great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn in Ogden, Utah; a sister-in-law Agatha Kekacs of Stratford and several nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by her son John R. Kekacs and her grandson, John A. Kekacs.


Services and burial were private.


The family would like to thank the staff of the Lutheran Home for their professional and compassionate care of Grace.
