Obituary for Gregory C. Ziegler
Gregory C. Ziegler, age 63, of Ansonia, beloved husband of Cheryl Lynn (Lapis) Ziegler, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Ziegler was born January 16, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Phillip and Helen (Ostic) Ziegler and had been a longtime area resident. Â
Gregory, a United States Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War, was a heavy equipment operator for the A.J. Penna Construction Company. He loved working around his house, boating, camping and being a grandfather. Â
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his two children, Jennifer Ziegler-Dean and her husband Mike, Rachel Psaradellis and her husband Bob; four bonus children, Doreen Goding and her husband Woody, Kelly Fletter and her husband Brian, Jessica Lapis and Justin Lapis; 10 grandchildren, Zoey, Mia, Jacen, Ariana, Bryanna, Shaina, Samantha, James, Rebecca and Cheryl three great-grandsons, Logan, Tyson and Eddie; three sisters, Becky, Marilynn and Cynthia; two brothers, Dave and Eric and many nieces and nephews. Â
Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. Military Honors will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit with his family Sunday before service time from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m Â
