Obituary for Harold "Bud" Hogan
Harold "Buddy" Hogan, age 77, of Stratford, longtime companion of Joanie Collins, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at home. Buddy was born in Bridgeport, son of the late Francis and Mamie (Ferris) Hogan and had been a lifetime Bridgeport resident before moving to Stratford.
He formerly worked for Fairfield Cab and was an avid sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and the UCONN Huskies. He was an excellent athlete in his youth and was a member of the Stonybrook Old Timers.
Survivors, in addition to Joanie, include his daughter, Colleen Hogan and her companion Steve of East Haven, his Sister, Nora Hogan Brown and her husband Norman of Stratford and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Mildred (McCarthy) Hoagn and a son, Frank Hogan.
Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford. Per the family's request, Funeral Services and Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Buddy may be made to the American Cancer Society, 372 Danbury Rd, Wilton, CT 06897.
