Obituary for Janet Brosnan
Janet Brosnan, age 83, beloved wife of the late Frank Brosnan, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 21, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, August 15,1933, daughter of the late Shahen and Helen (McGowan) Lulejian, Janet resided in Stratford since 1963 and was employed at Nature's Way, Stratford, for the past 40 years.
Janet's greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed cooking, reading and baking, especially her special chocolate cake with lemon icing and her famous butter cookies. She will be remembered for her family Christmases and her beautiful smile.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher Brosnan and his wife Barbara of Easton; Kerry Brosnan and his wife Andrea of Newtown and two daughters, Barbara Cooper and her husband John of Trumbull; Tara LaReau and her husband Jeffrey of Stratford, six grandchildren, Trish (Devin) Weller, Jeffrey (Meghan) Cooper, Elizabeth Cooper, Olivia and Leo Brosnan and Margaret LaReau, and three great-grandchildren, Kaira, Landon and Hadley Weller.
Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., by meeting directly at Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Rd., Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Nicholas Pavia. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.  Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet's memory to Our Lady of Peace Church Sanctuary Fund, 10 Ivy St. Stratford, CT 06615.
