Obituary for John H Woznick
John H Woznick, age 83, formerly of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Mary Alice (Birch) Woznick, entered eternal life Thursday, May 29, 2014 in Catawba Medical Center, Hickory, NC. Mr. Woznick was born in Bridgeport December 7, 1930, son of the late Stanley and Julia (Jadach) Woznick and resided in Stratford most of his life before moving to the home of his niece Nadine Kurszyna of Conover, NC. He was a United States Veteran of the Korean War and retired from Sikorsky Aircraft where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. His is survived by his sister Nadine and many nieces and nephews; he was predeceased by a sister Stella Raytar and brother Edward Woznick. Friends are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 8:00 am from the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford and at 9:00 am in St. James Church, Stratford, for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.
