Obituary for John S. Matyasovszky
John "Johnny" Stephen Matyasovszky, age 68 of Bridgeport, beloved longtime companion of the late Juneau Lee entered into eternal rest on August 19, 2015 in Bridgeport. Mr. Matyasovszky was born on March 31, 1947 in Bridgeport, son of the late Julia and Julius Matyasovsky and had been a life time area resident.
John was a United States Army Veteran and a graduate of Whittier Middle School and Bassick High School in Bridgeport. After the army, he was employed by Bridgeport Metal Goods where he worked for over a decade.
John was humorous and very outspoken man. He went above and beyond for all he loved. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved watching and attending sports games, especially his Redsox.
He leaves to mourn his beloved daughters Juno Dina and Jesica Lee of New Haven and Bridgeport, CT; a son Johnny in California; two brothers Thomas Matyasovsk and his wife Jean and Julius Matyasovszky Jr.; four sisters Marie Gosselin, Julia Fleming, Christine Matyasovszky and Rose Rivere and her companion Richard; seven grandchildren, Jireh Rawlison, Jasiel Bland, Sheldon Harris Jr., Ja'ir Harris, Seven Harris, Anthony Arocho, Julianna Lee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that love him so.
In addition to Juneau and his parents, he was predeceased siblings Irene Matyasovszky and Arthur Matyasovszky.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Faith Outreach Apostolic Church, 32 Bond St, Bridgeport, CT 06610.
